Since 2010, we have assisted clients in more than 125 conservation easements covering over 20,000 acres all over the Commonwealth, in Loudoun, Fairfax, Albemarle, Culpeper, Fauquier, Frederick, Rappahannock, and Louisa Counties, as well as the Town of Leesburg and the City of Winchester. We take pride in staying up to date on the groundbreaking opinions and new law in this area to maximize the benefits we can obtain for our clients, and to protect their interests.
We work closely with various charities and public bodies, including the Old Dominion Land Conservancy, the Land Trust of Virginia, Northern Virginia Conservation Trust, Piedmont Environmental Council, the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, and the Virginia Outdoors Foundation, to help preserve the land and obtain the associated tax benefits. We also follow up to assist those interested in selling their Virginia land preservation tax credits to interested buyers, including the identification of tax credit brokers.
